NWS, FSG, HH, MCP, LTUM
News Corp. (NWS:NYSE) Shares are up the pre-market after being beaten up in prior days due to the hacked voice mail scandal. Some of the talking heads are starting to talk about NWS being a value play near these levels, but there is just too much headline risk to play from the long side.
Factor Shares ETF (FSG:NYSE) I just wanted to mention the leveraged ETF because it is based on being long gold and short the S&P 500. If you are a gold bug, this ETF sort of eliminates your need to pair trade GLD versus other equities. FSG should remain on your ETF’s to watch list, just in case the situation presents itself.
Hooper Holmes (HH:AMEX) We highlighted this AMEX penny stock a while back and it had a decent pop. Right now, shares are basing, but remember that HH was once a highly recommended wire house brokerage firm name. Keep this stock on your penny stock list, in case of a breakout.
Molycorp (MCP:NYSE) This flagship rare earth name is currently in a downtrend, but at the same time, has seemed to defend the $50 handle. Shares of MCP could turn into a potential reversal play if this market catches a bid.
Lithium Corp. (LTUM:OB) This once hot lithium penny stock, has bounced off it’s year lows and remains a stock that could potentially be a mover if positive sentiment comes back into the group. Check out our last piece on Lithium stocks, there could be some bottom fishing going on.
